DISA Approval status: On November 17, 2011, DISA released an Interim Security Configuration Guide (ISCG) for iOS devices http://iase.disa.mil/stigs/net_perimeter/wireless/smartphone.html The ISCG requires the use of a third-party security program/server, Good Mobility Suite (GMS) to provide secure email, security policy management, and data protection services on DoD iOS devices. Future versions of the ISCG may include other third-party vendor security products or a “native” iOS configuration when it has been determined that they provide required DoD security controls.
